“Creatura” is one of my all time favorites. I read the first book when I was thirteen and barely knew anything about Greek mythology. I had just moved to Greece from Romania and I was struggling to learn the language and adapt in this new country. Everything was pretty tough, but suddenly, there was this book full of romance and fantasy and adventure that made me feel infinitely better. For me, “Creatura” was a turning point in my life as a reader. It gave me a new perspective, it made me love books even more and it helped me through a rough time. For that, this series will forever have a special place in my heart.
I fought for “Creatura” to be published in Romania. I reread the book at least three times. I waited for the sequel.
I read and loved the 2nd book, “Fruit of misfortune”. And then I proofread the final book and even though I was incredibly honored to be able to go on a journey towards the end of the series along with the author, there was this sadness that followed me until the end of the book. One of my favorite series was coming to an end and that is always a tragic moment for me. I was so in love with this series, with Isis, David, Eros and every character, that the thought of not reading any more of their adventures was sometimes too much. But enough of that. Let’s celebrate this amazing closing to a marvelous series. “Marker of Hope” is hands down one of the best and most captivanting books I’ve ever read.
I don’t think there could’ve been a better way to end this series, to be quite honest. Nely Cab definitely put her heart and soul into this book, and the result is a story that not only captivates you, but it fascinates you and it makes you forget about the real world around you. After two amazing books, “Creatura” and “Fruit of Misfortune”, the story of the characters we love comes to an epic end. I adored “Creatura” and definitely loved the 2nd book, but “Marker of Hope” is something else. Nely took it to another level with this book. Even though she put a lot of hard work into this book, her talent shines like never before in “Marker of Hope”.
I truly feel that this is her best work, even though “Creatura” will always be my favorite book in the series, but that has more of a sentimental value for me. “Marker of hope” though is pure talent, dedication and hard work. And the result is amazing. There is an obvious development in Nely writing skills. The text flows effortlessly.
Sometimes it feels like her words literally run through your veins. The voices she uses are way more real, and the character development is a strong point of this book. David, Isis, Eros, any character you can think of, they are all much more mature and their voices match their age, the situations they’ve been through and the burdens that they carry. Isis is trying to save everyone, David is trying to save Isis, Eros would do anything to have Isis, Galilea is protecting Isis in her own, unique way. But the enemy doesn’t stay away, and they keep attacking our beloved characters. Brave as they are, they always fight for the ones they love.
Throughout the book, secrets are revealed, alliances are being made, fights are being fought and love is present everywhere, even in the hardest situations. This series has thought me that true love can in fact be lethal, but it will always survive and win. But, above all, “Marker of hope” taught me that being brave is a virtue and a way to save yourself. Facing your demons is essential to your survival, but also caring for the ones close to you. There are so many plot twists and things that absolutely blew my mind in this book that sometimes, it was hard to keep up with them.
Whenever I was thinking that this is it, the situation will calm down now, Nely surprised me with a new bomb. The fact that I could never guess what would happen next is definitely something that made me love the book even more. The fights between Isis & co. And their enemies were also very captivating for me and I followed them with my heart in my throat, turning the pages as fast as I could. The plot is very well thought and the dynamic of the action is just right.
Not too slow, not too rushed. The suspense builds up towards the end and you can feel their sorrow, all the despair and the hope of the characters as they fight for their lives. One specific plot twist left me shocked and heartbroken. But the ending, overall, mended my broken heart, made me shed a few tears and left me wanting for more of Nely’s words.
Overall, “Marker of Hope” is an excellent closing to a fantastic series. It answers all your questions and then some more. The plot twists captivate you, Nely’s words absolutely enchant you, David will make you fall in love with him again and you will live every page of this book along with the characters, feeling their emotions and cheering for them. Even though I will forever miss this series, I am excited for everyone to read this third book.
Yes, I do recommend “Marker of Hope” and the “Creatura” series. It’s a must-read! Rate: 5 stars out of 5. You’ve been impossible to talk to, and I’ve been bored out of my mind. I thought we came here because we were going to figure things out.
What happened to ‘I’m going to save the people I love’? Did you just feed me that bull so I’d agree to come with you?” “You know that’s not true. I meant it.” “Then what’s the hold up?” Galilea’s irritated face turned a subtle shade of pink. Her pulse quickened just the slightest bit. I was surprised at how much my senses had developed. Months ago, I wouldn’t have noticed any of this, but now, I could even smell the natural notes of musk on her skin.
I felt my mouth water. Sometimes, I liked that my new superhuman senses gave me insight to peoples’ moods and emotions. Most of the time, they were waiting for me to let my guard down so the beast could take over. “Galilea.” I closed my eyes.
“I’m hungry.” “You can’t just change the subject. You do it all the time. I’m tired of it.” “I’m not changing the subject. I’m trying to tell you I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to control myself. How am I supposed to save anyone when I want to rip out their guts?” Author Bio: Nely Cab is a Writer of stuff, a Master Coffee Drinker, a Food Maker & Eater, an Imaginary World Conqueror, and an Air Breather.
“The fault in our Stars” de John Green Ok, nu radeti.
“The Sea of Tranquility” de Katja Millay Se putea sa lipseasca?

BLURB: Isis and her boyfriend, David, are on the brink of a horrible transformation and they are eager to stop it. Book trailer. Excerpt: I opened my mouth to deny it, but closed it just as fast, knowing there was no sense in arguing. Nyx could sense these things. I lowered my head, my cheeks on fire from embarrassment.
She knew that she was right, and so did I. “I’m not judging or reproaching you, Isis.” Nyx’s porcelain face rested on her fist.
“I haven’t admitted to anything.” Her lips lifted at the corners with a confidence I had come to relate with deities. “Nor have you denied it.” That was the end of my defense. A crow cawed, hiding some- where in the tree branches—mocking me, no less. I traced the white, scrolled, metal arm on the patio chair, busying my hand to keep from biting what was left of my nails. “Does it make you uncomfortable that I know this much?” “It has since I met you.” “Oh.” Nyx looked surprised.
“I’m sorry you feel that way. I don’t know the limit on how intimate mother and daughter-in-law talks should be.” Daughter-in-law? That word was too awkward to use in this conversation. I felt like an ant under a magnifying glass, churning under the intensity of the rays of commitment.
“I won’t dwell on it anymore, and you can rest assured that I won’t tell.” “What are you two gossiping about?” A voice came from behind me. David’s hand landed on my shoulder and I tensed. His lips touched the side of my forehead for a moment. “Girl talk,” Nyx said. “You should know better than to ask.” About the author.
Cel putin, nu in viitorul apropiat.
Sunt mai multe motive in spatele acestei afirmari. Nu-mi plac fan fic-urile transformate in carti.
Daca as avea un fiu adolescent, i-as recomanda ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ sau ‘Looking for Alaska’.
Cartea pe care as citi-o pe patul de moarte ‘The Fault in Our Stars’.
Apoi ar urma ‘The Fault in our stars’, ‘Mare Tranquillitatis’ si ‘Creatura’.
Parinti, priteni, profesori, rude.
Deci, oricine vrea sa faca ‘leapsa’ asta, e libera sa o faca. The cover isn’t available yet. Let me kick off this review by saying that I was the 1 st person to rate ‘Fruit of Misfortune’ on GoodReads, and I feel very honored and happy to be able to do it. Nely, thank you so much for alowing me to read this book right after you sent it to the editor. You can’t imagine what this means to me, and I thank you for that. The fact that Nely sent me a copy of the book has nothing to do with the rating or with the review. This is my honest review and opinion about a book I read, and m relationship with the author doesn’t influence it. Just had to make this clear.
Do you know that moment when you wait two years for a book, and when you finally get it, you read it in only 2 days? You read it, with your heart beating faster and you’re eyes shining because you love the characters so much and the story just sucks you in. And then you finish it. And it’s shocking, and heartbreaking, and you just hate the author, even if you love her, because she’s the reason why you have a new favorite series on your shelf. Let me give you a glimpase into my mind the moment I’ve finished ‘Fruit of Misfortune’: Blank.
Total silence. What was this? Did this really happen? Ugh Nely I hate you! I can’t believe you did this to us! What was that cliffhanger?
I am I just can’t let me crawl in a ball and cry! Why did I finish it? Nely like OMG you need to write the 3 rd book UGH I want that book. Why was this book so short OMG I want more I am so depressed I can’t I won’t I can’t So this was it. This was my mind after finishing ‘Fruit of misfortune’. I was in complete awe and shock.
The reason behind my shock? That was that was such a HUGE plot twist. Such a surprise! I didn’t expect that!
Nely, that was such a. It was so unexpected! That cliffhanger was even worse than the cliffhanger from the first book. You need to start writing the 3 rd book, because you’ll have angry readers threatening to kill you if you don’t give them the 3 rd book! Including me. J Reading “Fruit of misfortune” meant always gasping in surprise.
The 2 nd book in the ‘Creatura’ series is so, but so different from the 1 st book! While ‘Creatura’ is more of a love story, ‘Fruit of misfortune’ is a fantasy book, with lots of action and plot twists. This time, Nely chose not to focus so much on the love story.
She, instead, focused on the battle between Isis and the monster inside her or on her attempt to save everyone around her. And let me say, this change was so unexpected, but so welcomed! “Fruit of misfortune” is very, but very captivating! There’s always a plot twist, always some battle, always a secret revealed, always something that makes you gasp and make you turn the page. Although I liked this change, I have to admit that I missed David, his romantic lines and the cute story between him and Isis. I missed them and the romantic scenes between them. I missed Galen and Eryx and their stupid, funny lines.
This book is more intense and very captivating, but I still missed the romantic side of the 1 st book. The character development in this book was surprising.
David was more mature, I think, and more real. But he was kinda absent in this book. I don’t know why I felt this way. I felt like he was never there. But, as I said, this book is very different from ‘Creatura’, so David was always doing something, always trying to save Isis. Oh, speaking of Isis.
She got on my nerves. She was always stubborn, always whiny, depressed and so, so annoying! I don’t know what happened to her in this volume, but she was always getting on my nerves. She took some really bad decision, and she just wouldn’t listen to anyone. And omg, why did she do this to David?! One of my favorite characters – also the new character in this series- is Galilea. Such a badass!
And that scene, in the wood! It was so funny!
She was so cool, with her short hair and sassy attitude. The plot twists!
The plot twists were so unexpected and soso mind-blowing! Nely Cab did it again. She wrote a new brilliant book.
But, she didn’t do just that. She took this series to a new level. While in ‘Creatura’ you can find an amazing love story, in ‘Fruit of Misfortune’ you can find more action than love. So, if you felt like ‘Creatura’ was too much of a love story for you, I think you should give ‘Fruit of Misfortune’ a try. You will be surprised, believe me. I didn’t expect the story to took such a drastic turn, but I loved it.
I can’t believe I read the 2 nd book in the ‘Creatura’ series. I’m just, like, so sad to know that I need to wait another year or more for the 3 rd book.
I want it now! I definitely think this was a perfect sequel. It’s more captivating and more fun than the 1 st book, and I loved this thing. I already miss David, Galen and Eryx, and I SO cannot wait to meet them again in the 3 rd volume. Go read this book.
Because there’s a lot of action, huge plot twist, some hot scenes.wink wink., sexy characters and unexpected situations. And funny scenes. Rate: 5 stars out of 5.
