Saturday, January 21, 2012, 5:22 PM High school hoops fans will soon be able to watch one of the city’s best teams - along with its colorful coach - from the comfort of their own homes, as Lincoln will be featured in a new television series starting on Sunday night. The Railsplitters, coached by, will be featured in “City Hardwood,” a series that will air on NYC life at 8 p.m. Each Sunday for as long as the team’s season continues.
The show will document the ups and downs of the perennial city powerhouse Railsplitters, currently ranked 37th in the country by ESPN. In the style of HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” which spotlights NFL teams throughout training camp, “City Hardwood” will follow Morton and his players as they attempt to take the PSAL city championship back from two-time defending champ Boys & Girls. Each episode of the show will re-air several times throughout the week and will also be available for free download on iTunes. “We’re so excited to be able to showcase this amazing talent that’s coming out of Lincoln High School,” said, press manager for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, which oversees the NYC life channel. “For people who don’t know much about high school basketball.
